Windows Explorer or My Computer |
|
Here Go to my computer then my network places.
This is honestly so simple it is hard to release
people do not seem to understand this. Since we have had so many requests for
these screen shots we will do it.
It is understandably hard to provide text
instructions with something this simple. |

You will see add a network place at the top.
This will open the wizard to add a network place.

Add Network place wizard |

Here just click next.
This one really does not require any words so insert
humor here. |

|
Chose Network Location |
|
Chose this option since we are establishing a connection
via FTP to your web site.
This too should be self explanatory but we will
continue to direct you. |

Just
like
Ftp using a browser |
|
This approach is just like using your browser type in
ftp.domain-name.com/domain
this is an example, you use your domain name. Also /domain means the same as
initial remote directory or root directory in any other ftp client. If your
domain is not live on our servers yet then the url would be.
ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx./domain the x
is a digit of the IP address provided to you and /domain again is the same as
above. |
|
 |
|
 |
|
Add your user name and password |
|
This is a no different than any other logon and password
dialog you would fill out on the web.
This is where you would use the logon and password
provided to you by one of our support agents |
|
 |
|
 |
|
FTP view after network place added |
|
After you logon you should see all the files and
folders listed in your web space or web site.
If you do not see the files and folders listed in your site the cause is
typically failure to mention your initial remote directory or root directory
/domain.

Drag and drop files |
|
To upload open windows explorer and select the files
copy and then paste them in the right pane in windows explorer.
Or simply drag and drop them from local to remote
