  Filezilla Site Manager
Here I am using just an IP address this would be provided to you in the setup details of your site. After your domain comes live change this to ftp.domainname.com . This is very important in future your site FTP address could be changed. Of course if we change DNS you would try to logon to the wrong location.

Tick the normal radio button, and then enter your logon and password.

  Filezilla Site Manager Advanced

Advanced features allows you to mention the initial remote directory or root directory.

This is very important as it tells the server to what directory on the server you are trying to logon to.

Typically this is your domain-name minus the .com .net .org .biz .info what ever your domain-name is just remove everything to the right of the name. Failure to do this will mean you will not be able to logon and see the files and folders in your site.

  Filezilla main interface

After you have successfully logged on the server in the right pane you should the list of folders and files in your website.

The left pane shows the content of the folders on your local machine to which you want to upload.

The bottom pane is the list of files you have uploaded.

The top pane is the list of commands run on the server and details pushed back to your FTP client from the server.

  Filezilla Main Interface

Uploading to the server is easy just browse to the file or folder you wish to upload in the left pane. Then right click and you will be given the option to upload.

  Ftp using a browser
Open your browser type in ftp://ftp.domain-name.com/domain this is an example, you use your domain name. Also /domain means the same as initial remote directory or root directory in any other ftp client. If your domain is not live on our servers yet then the url would be. ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx./domain the x is a digit of the IP address provided to you and /domain again is the same as above.

  FTP using a browser

This is a no different than any other logon and password dialog you would fill out on the web.

This is where you would use the logon and password provided to you by one of our support agents in your original setup details when we created your site.

  FTP using a browser

After you logon you should see all the files and folders listed in your web space or web site.

If you do not see the files and folders listed in your site the cause is typically failure to mention your initial remote directory or root directory /domain.

To upload open windows explorer and select the files copy and then paste them in the right pane of your web browser.

  FTP using a browser
If you have tried everything above and you are certain it is correct and the files and folders are not visible in the right pane, then do this.

In IE go /tools/internet options/ then click on the advanced tab.

scroll down and un-tick the box use passive mode for FTP. This is possible due to policies set on the server. "Flash Video"
